“Theatre helped me learn how to work with others, even people I don’t get along with. It also helped me step out of my comfort zone and express myself.” ~Yvonne, ‘16

“The professionalism learned here has often distinguished me from others and led me to great opportunities.” ~Sarah, ‘16

Milpitas High School prides itself in its diversity. In our theatre department, we find extraordinary unity in that diversity. We give students a forum to express themselves, and provide a safe space for them to tell their stories, speak their truths, and develop their self-esteem. We encourage students to build bridges of understanding across all facets of life.

As successful as our program is in terms of learning opportunities and student growth both in the classroom and in our extracurricular productions, we struggle with finances. Our programs and productions are not budgeted by MUSD. Ticket and concession sales are our primary source of income. We believe that the benefits of participating in theatre greatly outweigh financial considerations.

Your tax-deductible sponsorship will be recognized in all of this year’s Playbill publications at Milpitas High School Theatre programs that will be seen by more than 2000 audience members. Contributions of at least $500 will also be recognized in all forms of social media.

Contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated. Checks may be written to the Milpitas High School Theatre Program and mailed to my attention at 1285 Escuela Parkway, Milpitas, CA 95035. If you have any questions, please call me at 408-635-2800 ext 4042.

Thank you for your consideration.
