Musical Theatre

In this new, year-long UC a-g approved elective, students will dive into the history of musical theatre, engage in scene study using duets and monologues, explore different musical theatre styles, and prepare for musical theatre auditions.

Policies and Expectations

Students will be expected to perform solo and duets, and while it is not necessary to know how to read music, it is definitely helpful.

Students will not be expected to dance in this class. They will, however, learn how to incorporate movement into their songs.

All students will perform in an end-of-the-year showcase. This is part of a graded final.

Performance 50%
